Join us for training

Training takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We offer coached sessions or runs guided by a run leader, all in and around Dorking area - there is a something to suit everyone!

Training Timetable

Note: For winter evening training - hi-vis clothing and torches mandatory.

MONDAYS

Time: 9am - Monday Social Group Run  –  Trail run -  Walk & Social Run followed by cake/coffee

Time: 6pm-7pm - Coached Session by Howard - Coached training session. Mixed abilities in one location

Time: 6.30pm to 8pm - Coached Session by Rob - Coached training session. Faster athletes

TUESDAYS

Time: 11am-12pm - Coached Session by Howard - Coached training session. Mixed abilities remaining in one location.

Time: 7pm - Coached Session by Richard - Coached group from Sept to April.  Mixed ability.  Remaining in one location to train.  This session changes to Group 6 Trail Runs from Ranmore in the summer months.

Time: 6:45pm (Sept to April) - Group Runs - Location: St Martin’s Walk car park, Dorking

Group 1 -Walking Group 

Group 2 - Run/Walk Group - Distance 5k Maximum

Group 3 - Continuous Running - Max distance 3-5  miles (5-8k) - Pace 11-12 min per mile (6.8-7.5 min per km)

Group 4 - Continuous Running - Max distance 5 miles (8k) - Pace 10 -11.5 min per mile (6.2-7.14 min per km)  2 groups - Main group on roads, 2nd group trail by torchlight running.

Group 5 - Continuous Running - Max distance 5-7 miles (12k) - Pace 10-12 min per mile (6.2-7.5 min per km)

Group 6 - Continuous Running - Pace 8 - 8.5 min per mile - SUMMER ONLY.  Changes to coached session with Richard during winter months.

(Note: Time and location change from April to 7pm Location - National Trust Car Park on Ranmore Denbies Hillside by Steers Field)

Time: 7.30pm -9pm (Sept to April) - Circuit Training by Lesley - Indoor Circuit training/Strength Conditioning.

THURSDAYS

Time: 7pm -8pm - Coached Session by Brian - Coached training session. Mixed abilities.

Time: 7pm-8pm - Coached Session by Nick - Coached training session. Mixed abilities.

Time: 6.30pm to 8pm - Coached Session by Rob - Coached training session for faster competitve athletes.
